Welcome to our house

We are safely welcoming new residents at Pratt House, residential care home in Amersham.

Enjoy peace of mind with our Covid-19 safe moving in procedures and take comfort in knowing you're loved ones are receiving a high level of person-centred care 24-hours a day.

Our dementia friendly care home offers a relaxed, inviting environment, designed to provide comfort, security and enhanced wellbeing to all residents, as well as a range of benefits, exceeding your care expectations.

We look forward to welcoming you to Pratt House.

Nestled in the scenic Chiltern Hills, surrounded by stunning greenbelt countryside, Pratt House is a care home situated on the outskirts of the vibrant market town of Amersham.

Set in its own beautiful grounds, in a quiet location, Pratt House has 29 en-suite rooms, many overlooking our attractive garden and surrounding fields, and we have rooms that can accommodate couples. Although we can provide furniture, we encourage you to bring your own furniture and photographs so you can customise your room and make it feel like home.

In 2019, we are due to have an extension which will give us an additional 7 rooms, a second lounge and a dining room, as well as some refurbishments to the current property.

Being part of the community is an important value for Abbeyfield and we have established excellent relationships with pre-schools, churches, GPs and district nurses. Our dedicated team of staff provide 24-hour care and many of our staff have been here for 19 years of service meaning you get continuity of care and support. Residents come together for delicious home cooked meals, a great way to get to know each other and socialise.

Ideally located near the picturesque market town of Amersham, you’ll uncover a town steeped in history with more than 150 listed buildings in the Old Town as well as most of Amersham being a conservation area. Pratt House is close to local shops, garden centres, a number of churches and the train stations have direct links into London.

Another point of local interest is The Amersham Fair Organ Museum where you’ll discover a collection of fairground organs on display that take you on a trip back in time. In the Old Town, you’ll also find a great selection of independent shops and a variety of dining options ranging from chic restaurants to traditional pubs.
