Welcome to our house

Welcome to Abbeyfield Court, Locks Heath.

Purpose built in 2011, Abbeyfield Court offers older people independent living in a secure, sociable environment just outside of Southampton.

Our home has 16 apartments with one or two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and lounge area. We also have a spacious communal lounge and dining room for residents to use at their leisure for activities or to socialise with one another. Completing our home is a hair salon and beautiful garden with a greenhouse, fruit patch and summer house.

Relaxation and inclusion are an important part of life at Locks Heath with spaces and time made for residents to relax, reflect and enjoy later life.

Located just a short walk from our home are local shops, a pub and parklands. We are a 30 minute drive to central Southampton and a 20 minute drive to central Portsmouth.

New With the arrival of a new therapy couch we are excited to offer chiropody and massage services to our residents.

What's happening at the house

Activities throughout the year

We run a number of extra activities throughout the year including singers, visits from animals and reptiles, show and tell, hand-made cards and jewellery. Our weekly activities include bingo, film afternoons and craft.

Trips out

We organise ferry trips around the local harbour, Hamble River and historic dockyard. And often we arrange trips to garden centres, Christmas festivities and local places of interest.

Summer and birthdays

We have a big summer lunch once a year with stalls, raffle and cake sale. For every birthday we celebrate with a card and gift and the birthday person is given the option to choose what they would like for lunch and pudding on their special day.
