Kemnal is a spectacular grade two listed building situated on the outskirts of Haslemere in Surrey. The house provides seven residents with secure sheltered housing together with the support and services of the House Manager.
We provide our residents with the privacy of their own accommodation combined with the companionship of others. Residents enjoy home cooked meals, including the security and support of the dedicated house staff. Social activities include coffee mornings, card crafts and other events organised by volunteers.
For security and safety, all rooms have an emergency call system and each resident has a personal alarm pendant connected to an external monitoring unit. This enables residents to live a truly independent lifestyle knowing they have the support and backup of Abbeyfield's care professionals if needed.
Regular social activities include Christmas activities, monthly coffee mornings, annual Garden fete, organised by committee.

Meet the team
Janet has worked at Kemnal for two years and has vast experience in the care sector as well as nursing. She provides two hot meals a day which are home cooked and very much enjoyed by the residents. Janet facilitates a residents meeting on a monthly basis to share news stories and feedback.

Sue has worked in various roles for the society, as a cook at Hatch mill as well as a carer, before most recently working at Kemnal as the relief cook. Sue also covers for the House Manager when required.

Tracey visits the sheltered homes on a regular basis and provides activities for those who wish to take part. She also takes residents out on trips to various places of interest and once a year down to the coast for a fish and chips lunch and a walk along the prom which is always popular.
