The Beeches is a lovely building located in the heart of the village. Each resident’s apartment is fully carpeted with en-suite facilities and charges cover meals, heating, lighting, etc. Our apartments provide a peaceful, homely atmosphere with communal areas and dining room.

Our services are personalised to meet your needs so that you can enjoy freedom, security and peace of mind in a homely environment. 24 hour care and support is available from our professional and caring on-site staff.

We offer a range of activities that are organised in conjunction with the volunteers including singing groups, exercise classes and evening socials.

In the area

Meet our staff

Our hardworking staff are lucky to have a large network of volunteers to depend upon. In particular, Abbeyfield The Dales has a strong ethos of providing support services in sheltered housing based on the good will of dedicated volunteers, who provide an extra dimension to our services offered.

We have more than 80 volunteers who support and complement the sterling work of the trained care staff and the management team. 

Through their commitment, we are able to meet the needs and requests of both the residents and staff alike. 


Activities

Arts and craftsOur activities co-ordinator arranges a number of activities on a regular basis, such as outings to the seaside, coffee mornings, visits from local animal charities, cake decorating, pottery decorating and exercise classes.

Optional activities include:

MONDAY: IPad engage workshops
TUESDAY: coffee morning with Bingley the Dog, and library group every other Tuesday morning
WEDNESDAY: sing-a-long with Mary (afternoons)
THURSDAY:                      
FRIDAY: craft group (afternoons)
SUNDAY: coffee with ‘Eve’ alternate Sundays

Evening Bingo session take place once a month supported by Skipton Building Society.
