Volunteer with older people this Christmas

Becoming a volunteer at Christmas

Volunteer with older people this christmas

It's time to dust off your Elf hat and make a difference to older people!

Throughout the festive period, Abbeyfield houses and homes up and down the UK host events for our residents and local older people. Picture sing-a-longs, delicious home-cooked meals and best of all, great company.

To help us make this Christmas the best Christmas ever, we’re looking for a whole range of Santa’s little helpers (otherwise known as volunteers!) to support our events and, of course, join in the celebrations.

Our doors are open to individuals and groups; either families and friends. We know that volunteering has no age barrier and would love to see our neighbours of all ages join in the festive fun.

Volunteering roles with Abbeyfield include

• Laughing, chatting and the odd ‘Ho,ho,ho!’
• Bringing the X-factor to our carol sing along
• Being ready to lose at board games
• Getting covered in glue and glitter during crafts
• Serving mince pies and the odd glass of sherry!
