Overview

Westbourne House is a bright vibrant house, close to the centre of Bournemouth, the beautiful beach and gardens, and a walk away from the popular village of Westbourne. Local amenities include shops and galleries. Bus routes and travel links are excellent. We are only 2 hours train journey to Waterloo.

The house was built on the site of the previous house in 2009 and now consists of 25 en-suite rooms with a choice of studios and apartments. We have two homely lounges and a spacious dining room. Our outside areas provide sunny and easily accessible well maintained gardens. We also have a lift access to all floors. You are welcome to have family and friends come for lunch and tea and we have coffee mornings every day. The house offers a variety of activities, outings and social occasions with the help of our volunteers and the friends and family of our residents.

The house has a dedicated Operations Manager however residents can gain additional support from a Careline provider 24 hours a day. Each resident is provided with a pendant and has a support system in their bedroom and en-suite to contact the Careline.

Resident’s birthdays are always celebrated with homemade birthday cake and we welcome family and friends to join for a coffee or lunch to celebrate this important day together. There is a Christmas party every year for the residents and family.

Residents are also encouraged to take active roles in garden by planting pots and light weeding and maintenance if they wish.

Our team of house staff provide ingredients for a continental style breakfast so that residents can start the day at their own pace. Home cooked lunch and tea is provided in the communal dining room and satisfy a variety of dietary requirements.

Our menu includes a vegetarian option plus an alternative if requested. Special diets are catered for and we have up to date knowledge of all allergens.

Our chefs and cooks work together to provide a balanced nutritious menu which includes good British classics alongside other favourites such as curries, pastas, homemade pies and a variety of classic puddings and desserts. Tea time treats include homemade soup, pasties, scones, cakes and tarts.
