About the property

Moretons house is very homely with a well-tended garden and a greenhouse. Residents meet socially every morning for coffee and biscuits. Daily, half an hour before lunch and tea, there is a musical gathering where residents can enjoy the all-time favourites.

The house is situated opposite the bowling green and the British legion, close to the local community centre and the town centre. We have a close relationship with the local churches and a good bus service to Bournemouth and Wimborne plus other local areas of interest.

Facilities include a pleasant combined lounge and dining room with a conservatory overlooking the well-tended landscaped gardens. Set on two floors, all nine rooms are en-suite. There is a lift to the upper floor for less mobile residents. There is also a car park at the front of the house for visitors.

Moretons is managed by Abbeyfield Wessex

Meet our staff

A voluntary committee is responsible for the well being of our residents and overseeing the houses. Overall responsibility for the Society's activities rests with an Executive Committee of voluntary Trustees drawn from public and private sectors.

Staff and volunteers also provide support and companionship to residents. The staff at our homes are experienced in dealing with elderly people and are very empathetic to their needs.
