Moretons house is very homely with a well-tended garden and a greenhouse. Residents meet socially every morning for coffee and biscuits. Daily, half an hour before lunch and tea, there is a musical gathering where residents can enjoy the all-time favourites.

The house is situated opposite the bowling green and the British legion, close to the local community centre and the town centre. We have a close relationship with the local churches and a good bus service to Bournemouth and Wimborne plus other local areas of interest.

Facilities include a pleasant combined lounge and dining room with a conservatory overlooking the well-tended landscaped gardens. Set on two floors, all nine rooms are en-suite. There is a lift to the upper floor for less mobile residents. There is also a car park at the front of the house for visitors.

Moretons is managed by Abbeyfield Wessex

Resident’s birthdays are always celebrated and residents are given the opportunity to choose the menu. We make a homemade birthday cake and welcome family and friends to join for a coffee or lunch to celebrate this important day together.

Jane has been in the catering industry for several years and takes pride in the meals she prepares. Homemade lunch and tea are served in the communal dining room and satisfy a variety of dietary requirements including offering a vegetarian option.

The menu is displayed daily giving the residents the opportunity to request the alternative menu if desired. Residents also have regular input into planning the menu.

Our team of house staff provide ingredients for a continental style breakfast so that residents can start the day at their own pace. We always use fresh, local ingredients where possible to provide varied, nutritious and enjoyable meals.
