About the property

Green Lane House is supported sheltered accommodation located in the old market town Fordingbridge which lies on the banks of the River Avon in the New Forest District of Hampshire. The town has a population of approximately 5,700 people and since 1982 has been twinned with Vimoutiers in Normandy.

The newly refurbished Green Lane House was opened in 2000 and provides a peaceful, friendly atmosphere. Residents are encouraged to remain as independent as possible and to make the house a home for life. The accommodation which is all on the ground floor comprises of 8 studio flats and 2 apartments which can cater for couples. All of our flats have en-suite facilities and French doors in all the flats provide access to private patios.

The resident’s main lounge is set in a lovely light and spacious conservatory where morning coffee is served and tea following lunch. The resident’s sitting room provides a quiet area for reading or meeting with friends. The well maintained gardens are available for all to use and residents are encouraged to demonstrate their gardening skills.

Green Lane is situated in a prime location within walking distance to the amenities which include post office, social centre, doctor’s surgery, dental surgery, cafes, restaurants and local shops. It is also situated close to a bus stop with connections to local towns. The house benefits of 2 laundries, a shed for electric buggies with power point and a car park. An assisted bathroom is also available.

The house has a dedicated manager however residents can gain additional support from a Careline provider 24 hours a day. Each resident is provided with a pendant and has a support system in their bedroom and en-suite to contact the Careline. The support systems are also situated in our communal areas.
