The house is your home and you can invite friends and family to visit whenever you want. We are just a short walk from South Molton town centre, with its shops and other facilities.

Duffield Court was opened in 1992 and consists of 9 en-suite flats, all with a kitchenette. Most of our rooms are unfurnished, but we have 2 furnished rooms for short stays.

We want to be as flexible as possible, so whatever your accommodation needs, please give us a ring to see if we can help. We can even accommodate your visitors from time to time.

The monthly fee covers all bills except a landline phone, which is needed for our 24/7 emergency call system.

As well as your room, there is a communal lounge and dining room, and good laundry facilities. The surrounding garden is well-kept, and you can sit outside when the weather is right. There is a car park for the use of residents, visitors and staff. We have good Wi-Fi throughout the house.

Duffield Court is managed by Abbeyfield South Molton

Life at the house

Our delicious food

We provide lunch and high tea every day in our communal dining room. Both meals are cooked and prepared at the house by our qualified cooks.

Where possible we use locally sourced produce and menus are tailored to dietary needs. Meal times at Duffield Court are important as it’s when the whole house gets together - a time to have a chat enjoying great food and great company.

Breakfast is taken in your room.

Our activities

We have various social activities such as coach trips out for tea and visits to the local garden centre. We have coffee mornings and open days at the house, to which you can invite friends and family.

There is an optional keep-fit class each week, and some of our residents enjoy playing card games together.

New ideas for activities are always welcome.

The local minister comes to visit every month and holds a short service. The Committee organises services at Christmas, Easter and Harvest, always followed by a tea party.
