Abbeyfield House in Camelford provides residents the privacy of their own accommodation combined with the companionship of others. Monthly social activities, organised by residents and three meals a day.

The house is set in a beautiful location, with attractive grounds bordered by a stream. It's a peaceful location which must be visited to appreciated fully. There is a homely atmosphere with communal lounge overlooking the grounds and the courtyard to the rear provides seclusion and parking for residents. There are rooms situated on the ground floor, the rooms are fully carpeted but are unfurnished to enable you to bring your personal belongings along with your furniture to personalise your room and make it your home.

It's a home from home with support when you need it from our professional and caring house staff and volunteers. There is a housekeeper on site from 9am in the morning until 6pm in the evening to provide support should you require it. New residents accepted from 55 years of age or over. We welcome applications and enquiries.

Life at the house

GardenAbbeyfield house at Camelford residents enjoy a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The house also has an attractive outlook over beautiful secluded grounds well stocked with a variety of trees and shrubs.  Fresh fruit is always available, and home cooked meals are prepared daily.

We provide two healthy and delicious meals a day, which are cooked and prepared at the house. Our qualified cooks pride themselves on providing excellent food which is all freshly prepared, and where possible, using locally sourced produce.

Each house has an individual approach to catering for their residents, with menus being tailored to dietary needs and special events. But we always offer plenty of choices, including vegetarian options, and great portion sizes!

Meal time at an Abbeyfield is also important as it’s when the whole house gets together - a time to have a chat enjoying great food and great company.
