Abbeyfield House residents have the privacy of their own accommodation, combined with the companionship of others and the security and support of the dedicated house staff. Our residents enjoy home-cooked meals together twice daily as well as activities both in house and in the local community.

Abbeyfield House in Beaminster is a purpose built sheltered housing property for 12 older people in single rooms. The house has wide corridors and a light and airy feeling. It has been decorated to a high standard and benefits from all rooms being en suite.

We have a delightful communal lounge so there is always somewhere to enjoy the company of others. The attractive garden runs around the whole house and is beautifully maintained so you can sit out in the fresh air and sunshine.

The friendly staff promote each resident's independence and offer support where it is needed, and all residents carry a pendant call alarm.

Abbeyfield Beaminster has good links with the local community. Rent includes accommodation, food and all bills (apart from your phone bill).

Arts and craftsWe actively encourage residents at the sheltered home to get involved with the local community, as well as encouraging the local community into the house with activities and groups.

We organise a number of social activities and events, especially suitable for older people, so there's always something to keep you occupied or to look forward to.

KitchenStaff prepare two tasty and nutritious home-cooked meals every day, served in our pleasant communal dining room so that meal times are a social occasion. Residents have breakfast making facilities in their rooms so they can have breakfast whenever they want, for a gentle start to the day.
