We provide very sheltered housing where residents are independent within our ten self-contained rooms, and are also part of our family by meeting twice a day for the meals that we provide.

Flat currently available - contact us today!

The rooms are all single bed sitting rooms with en-suite shower and toilet facilities.

We have a lounge and a dining room where residents, staff and volunteers regularly meet in an undemanding social atmosphere. In the summer our garden comes into its own.

A lift makes access to the upstairs rooms easy, but most people use the safe and open staircase. A laundry room is available for residents’ needs.

There is a guest room where people may stay in order to visit our existing residents. Anyone who may want to join us can also stay, to meet our residents and staff and to get an idea of what we offer.

Residents here are encouraged to remain as independent as possible and to make the house a home for life. The continual reassurance that there are others under the same roof, and the ability to meet in each other’s rooms or the communal lounge, creates a happy family atmosphere.

Life at the house

Playing ScrabbleWe arrange various activities in consultation with our residents. These include regular gentle exercise sessions and games afternoons, as well as film showings and talks of general interest.

We also organise outings, art classes and computer sessions from time to time.

Birthdays are celebrated quietly in the house, and at Christmas there is an outing for lunch in the High Street, and a carol service in the house.

Communion is regularly brought to the house by the local ministry team for those who wish take this sacrament.

We have an annual Coffee Morning and also a Tea Party so that local people may meet us and our residents and these help to maintain close contact with our community.

Cooking in the kitchenOur residents eat together at midday and in the evening, which helps to create the family atmosphere of which we are very proud.

These meals are prepared by our skilled staff and the menu is varied, wide ranging and interesting, and caters for the needs and preferences of all our residents.Fresh local produce is used whenever possible, and will even, at times, include fresh vegetables from our garden.

There are main dishes each day that will suit most people and there are always alternatives so that dietary needs, allergies and intolerances are respected.
