Overview

Just a two minute walk from the seafront at Weston-Super-Mare, Abbeyfield House originally opened in 1966.

We have a large enclosed rear garden, where residents can happily potter and tend to the plants or simply relax and enjoy the sea air. We are close to local shops, a chemist and a GP surgery, which are all within a three minute walk from the front door. The house has easy access to public transport and we are just a 5 minute drive from the M5.

New residents accepted over the age of 55 years.

This supported house has 4 flats on the ground floor with a further 5 flats on the 1st floor which can be accessed by a lift. We provide our residents with the privacy of their own accommodation combined with the companionship of others and the security and support of the dedicated house staff. It is a warm and friendly home where you will be made very welcome. Residents are encouraged to remain both mentally and physically active, and enjoy a varied social calendar of organised events/activities in our communal lounge.

All our staff are fully trained and skilled at catering for the needs of older people and are empathetic to the requirements residents have. Staff are there to make sure all residents are safe and secure, that meals are nutritious and enjoyable, and that the house is a thoroughly enjoyable place to be. At Abbeyfield, we believe in making time for older people and our staff embody this by always being available for that cup of tea and a chat - to be there as a companion when needed.
