Wellbeing Manager, Weymouth

Hours: 25 hours per week (Flexible, enabling you to balance work with home life)

Salary: £9.70 per hour

In the role of Wellbeing Manager you will:

  • Help promote independence, dignity and quality of life at all times in a person centred caring and supportive environment.
  • Understand the different personalities, feelings and lifestyles to provide residents with personalised activities relating to their unique interests
  • Make meaningful activities an essential part of the care of residents, enabling them to live each day in the way they want.
  • Be responsible for providing a varied daily programme of activities to stimulate and keep our residents engaged.
  • Work in close conjunction with the care team.
  • Build good relationships with the residents, staff, relatives and trustees.

You will be well supported by both Managers and Trustees, who realise that to successfully build a regular range of activities for individuals and groups will take time.

We are looking for someone who can build, step by step, something that is truly special for our residents.

The Trustees, together with the Manager, will provide additional money to support activities and, if asked, will provide advice and guidance. Abbeyfield Weymouth also offers accommodation at MacPherson House for ten residents living independently. In the future there could be opportunities to organise some activities for these residents and develop stronger links between the two establishments.
