Guest facilities
Visiting friends and family have a place to stay.
Located in Guildford, Roundhay is a supported house built in 1983. It was renovated in 2009 and consists of eight bed-sitting rooms of varying sizes. The house facilities includes mobility standard properties. Monthly social activities include slide shows, car drives, visits to concerts, day trips to the seaside, all organised by Friends of Abbeyfield. Meals are provided (two meals every day, plus ingredients for breakfast).
The house is located a mile from Guildford town centre, with a local bus service nearby. There are many sites of interest including Guildford Cathedral, Guildford Castle and Watts Gallery among many others.
We provide a peaceful, friendly atmosphere where residents can remain as independent as possible. We offer a range of activities from coffee mornings to painting classes, and we also have a large attractive garden. It's a home from home with support when you need it from our professional and caring house staff and volunteers.
For added security and safety, all rooms have an emergency call system with a personal alarm pendant connected to an external monitoring system.

Roundhay is managed by the Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society.
Daphne has been with the society for nine years initially working with the Guildford Society and then transferred over to Wey Valley when the two societies merged. Daphne provides two delicious home cooked meals a day for our residents and is responsible for the day to day management of the house.
Shelina has been with the society for eight years and covers the House Manager when required.
Tracey visits the sheltered homes on a regular basis and provides activities for those who wish to take part. She also takes residents out on trips to various places of interest and once a year down to the coast for a fish and chip lunch and walk along the prom which is very popular.
