Oak Hill Mansion

Oak Hill Park , Manchester Road , Accrington , Lancashire , England, BB5 2BN

Welcome to our house

Nestled in the heart of Pennine Lancashire, Oak Hill Mansion is set in the grounds of the famous Oak Hill Park, a large park featuring stunning views of the historic town of Accrington.

Built in the 1800’s, the house originally belonged to the Hargreaves family and was later sold and turned into a café and museum. Abbeyfield Hyndburn Committee eventually bought it in 2003 and it now has 13 rooms all with en-suite wet rooms and kitchenette allowing you to remain independent, with the knowledge that you’re in a safe and supported environment.

At Oak Hill Mansion, you’ll find a friendly, warm and comfortable atmosphere and a team of professional, caring and helpful staff who are committed to being on hand to help residents when you need it.  For extra peace of mind, our House Manager lives on site and when off duty, we have Careline in place if you need help.

For those who like reading we have shelves full of books and a quiet area at the top of the landing with chairs and settees so you can relax and put your feet up. Spend time in the lovely conservatory; the perfect place to catch up and get to know other residents.

We’re in the ideal location, being set in the grounds of Oak Hill Park means we have access to two bowling greens, which are perfect for the young at heart, and also a children’s playground for when the family come to visit. In the park you’ll also find a very modern bandstand which plays host for events like Accrington Carnival and Veterans day parades.

For those looking to travel further afield, there are excellent transport links. Just outside the gate you can catch a bus into the town centre, or get buses to Haslingden, Ramsbottom, Bury or Manchester. The train station is just a 15 minute walk away and the famous Haworth Art Gallery, where the Tiffany Glass that was in the house now resides, is just a stone’s throw away. If you have visiting family and friends why not take them to the lovely pub called The Part which is just 150 yards away and serves up delicious meals.
