Welcome to Abbeyfield House, Wrexham
Originally built in the 1930’s and used as a family house/practice for a local GP, Abbeyfield House has a history of helping those in need. Abbeyfield Wrexham was bought and renovated in the 1980’s and officially opened by The Duke of Westminster on 7th April 1988. On 15th December 1989, we also received a visit from Prince Charles which was of great delight to the whole street.
Today, Abbeyfield House continues to offer support, security and companionship to older people. Our home has nine rooms, all with en-suite and kitchenette, tastefully decorated to allow residents to personalise them as they wish.
Communal areas of our home include a lounge, conservatory, dining room and garden which residents enjoy using to socialise with one another, read a book or entertain visiting family and friends.
Located in a residential area of Wrexham, our home offers the best of suburban living with the town centre and open countryside close by. Just a short bus ride away you’ll find yourself in the town centre complete with shops, restaurant, hairdressers, cinema, 10 pin bowling and museums. Wrexham has a wonderful bowling green and bandstand which is often busy come the summer months as are the numerous National Trust properties near by.
Abbeyfield House is managed by Abbeyfield Wrexham Society.
