Welcome to our house

Abbeyfield House is a a retirement home offering supported housing in Wendover. Built in 1980, it has 18 studio rooms which come unfurnished, allowing you to personalise your room and make it feel like home. Situated on tranquil Dobbins Lane, our house is located in the heart of the charming market town.

At Abbeyfield we serve home cooked meals twice a day, lunch at 12.30 and a light tea at 5.30.

Our dedicated, caring and professional team provide support when you need it and when making decisions about how you want to live your life.

Mel is the House Manager, whom is very friendly, approachable and will also do her best to help.

The house is in a great location, we have excellent transport links with a bus stop within short walking distance and a train station minutes from the house.  Wendover is famous for Halton House owned by the Rothschild family and has regular open days for the community and families to visit.

Wendover holds a market every Thursday on the Manor Waste which also is a short walking distance from the house. Stalls vary and a range of lovely assortments are available, from home made bread & pastries to freshly organic vegetables. Not forgetting the High Street, which is served with many coffee shops, a chocolatier shop, a tapas bar, a deli, and restaurants.

We have established connections with people in our local community who offer varied conversation and a chance to compare different experiences.  At the house we hold social events, which include themed days and when it is your birthday we like to make your day special.

Variety is the key to any community and we are very proud to offer this at Abbeyfield House.
