Purpose built in 2007, Abbeyfield House in Ballymena was constructed replacing the original building which was built in the 1960’s. It has 10 rooms which are all en-suite with a level deck shower. There is a lounge which leads out onto a delightful garden with level paths and a summer house, which is great for spending time outside in the warmer weather.
Each room is unfurnished, a blank canvas for you to bring your own furniture and personal belongings to create a real home from home environment.
The house is located on Ballymoney Road and is within walking distance to the towns shopping centres, post office and local shops. The Local Peoples Park is a short walk across the road and we are fortunate to have the train and bus station nearby should you wish to travel.
The house offers a range of activities and events for you to get involved in if you wish.
This house is managed by the Abbeyfield & Wesley Society.
I am the Support Manager in the Ballymena House. Along with an enthusiastic staff team we provide home cooked meals, weekly activities and support to our residents to help them remain independent in a happy and safe environment.
