Located in the historic town of Braintree, Wickham House was first opened in 1993 and then fully refurbished in 2015, providing 17 studio rooms, varying in size, but all with modern facilities including a wet room. Our dedicated and caring team of staff will help you to remain independent, and our house offers security with the knowing that all meals are provided and our staff are on site from 7am until 8.45pm.
Our home offers a balance of privacy and companionship in a modern house close to Braintree town centre, and we have excellent transport links as we are situated on a bus route and are close by to the train station. Nearby you'll also find a supermarket and Post Office.
Spend time in our wonderful summer house which is located in our beautiful well-maintained garden; it's the ideal location for relaxing, enjoying the fresh air and spending time getting to know other residents.
We have a lift and chair lift to the first floor accommodation, and wheelchair access to all areas. We have domestic staff to clean your rooms. Home visits are carried out by the GP, district nurse, chiropodist, dentist, opticians and hairdressers.
Wickham House is managed by the Abbeyfield Braintree, Bocking and Felsted Society.
