Abbeyfield House is situated in the charming market town of Beccles, famous for being a Great British holiday destination, you'll discover a beautiful location which lies on the River Waveney on the edge of the stunning Norfolk Broads. The railway station is nearby, with links to to Ipswich, London and Norwich.
Purpose built in 1987, our house is home to 11 residents who have the privacy of their own accommodation with the bonus of companionship from other residents and support from our dedicated, professional and caring team of staff.
Most of our rooms come with kitchen area, allowing you to maintain your independence and prepare food and drinks for yourself and any visiting guests you may have. All of our rooms come unfurnished enabling you to decorate your room in your own personal taste; bring your own favourite pieces of furniture and any other treasured photos and belongings to make it feel like home.
We have a bright and airy conservatory which provides the ideal location for looking out onto our wonderful garden where you'll be able to see the array of birds that come to the feeders. Alternatively spend time relaxing or enjoying the company and getting to know other residents.
Abbeyfield House is in an excellent location, we're about a five minute walk away from the quay, which hosts a carnival every year, and you'll find a lovely area to sit and walk with a small cafe serving up teas, coffees, snacks and delicious whippy ice creams. As one of the fastest growing market towns in the east, you'll unearth the extensive range of independent shops, restaurants and pubs in the heart of Beccles Town.

Amanda joined the Abbeyfield Society in 2014 as the Business Manager covering East Anglia and parts of the East Regional Team. She brings over 20 years experience in the housing, health and social care sector.

Heather has worked at Abbeyfield since 2005 and oversees three houses, although her days are busy each day is different and very rewarding. Being part of the Abbeyfield team is like being with a circle of friends, knowing support is always available.

Kerry has been working for Abbeyfield Beccles since 2006 as a Housekeeper/Cook. Kerry personally loves cooking meals for the residents and to see their faces light up as they are enjoying them. Over the years she has built up lovely friendships with the residents which have a wealth of experience to share.
