Located in the picturesque village of Alfriston, Abbeyfield House is a purpose built house constructed in 1985. It comprises of nine single occupancy en-suite rooms all with easy access to the beautiful gardens which surround the house. All of our rooms come unfurnished, allowing you to add a personal touch to your room and bring your favourite items from home.
The village of Alfriston offers a bustling and warm community spirit with many groups and organisations for you to be a part of, along with a regular bus service to the towns of Lewes, Seaford and Eastbourne.
Our house is only a short walk away from the local village shops, doctor’s surgery, traditional pubs, restaurants tea rooms and ice cream shops, so you can spend the day out with visiting family and friends.
What makes our house special is its quiet location which provides tranquillity and peacefulness, but we also have a strong house community where our residents socialise together to meet for coffees and meals. We want our residents to feel like this is their home from home by providing a friendly atmosphere where residents can remain as independent as possible, but have help and support from our caring and compassionate staff when they need it.
This house is managed by the Abbeyfield South Downs Society.
