Welcome to our house

Jim Gillespie House provides residential care for older people including those who may experience hearing or visual impairments, or need assistance with personal care and/or mobility.

We have 24 single rooms on the ground floor, including 9 en-suite rooms and 1 premium en-suite room. On the upper floor, there are a further five en-suite rooms. Rooms come with a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and soft furnishings but you are welcome to bring your own furniture to make it a real home from home.

At Jim Gillespie we offer a dynamic weekly programme of activities for you to enjoy including pet therapy visits, exercise classes and films afternoons. Our Activity Co-ordinator holds beauty sessions, seasonal arts and crafts sessions as well as one to one activity sessions with residents. 

We offer a Library service, Holy Communion, and live entertainment from musicians. We always love welcoming visitors from local art groups, farms and reminiscence groups. We have fantastic links with the local primary school, who often come in for intergenerational activities.
