What is a Residential Care Home?

In the UK residential care home - usually just called Care Homes - are for older people with relatively low care needs. This type elderly accommodation is for people who are frail, but do not require nursing or specialist care. If you’re extremely frail or have a medical condition that requires frequent medical attention from a doctor or nurse, then you will need a Care Home which also provides nursing care.
