Care at Home is our domiciliary care service and is for anyone who wants to stay at home while receiving care and support from a care at home assistant. We provide a range of services from support with medication and exercise through to offering genuine companionship and friendly conversation.

Where is Care At Home available? 

Abbeyfield's Care At Home service currently operates in 4 main geographical areas:

We are able to accept referrals from those who can finance their care needs privately, or those who receive a direct payment from their local authority. If you are unsure of your eligibility for our domiciliary care service, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss it with you.

Starting your Care At Home - what do I do next? 

  1. Contact your local care at home service and discuss your needs
  2. Staff will listen and advise if we are able to support your needs
  3. We will send you all the information you need about our service and the relevant charges for the service
  4. If you wish to go ahead we will arrange to visit you in your home and carry out an assessment of your needs.
  5. A start date will be agreed and you will agree suitable times for the staff to visit you
  6. Your care will commence as agreed
  7. Your care needs will be reviewed regularly by our senior carer workers to ensure the service continues to meet your needs.
  8. During your care you will have access to the office team who will support you will any enquires you may have .
