Domiciliary care from Abbeyfield

What is Care at Home?

There’s no place like home.

Care at Home is Abbeyfield's domiciliary care service, designed for people who require a bit of extra support to live at home. Our fully trained and experienced care staff offer a one-to-one service tailored to individual needs.

Home is more than just a place to live, it’s where your memories are, where you relax and feel safe and where you’re close to family and friends. Our Care at Home service can support you, so you can remain independent in the comfort of your own home and enjoy later life.

Our Care at Home Services

Care services aren’t always about providing care. You may just need that extra bit of help to continue living independently.

Daily routines

We can assist you with social activities like visits to friends and family. We can help you stay active by accompanying you on walks, shopping trips and appointments. We can even help with cooking or in the garden. Of course, we can also be there for companionship and conversation throughout the day, this includes joining in with your hobbies and interests.

Personal care

We can support you with your day-to-day living. This can be anything from help with your morning and evening routines – including dressing, bathing, medication – as well as light housework and meal preparation.

Hospital to home care

Coming home from hospital can be both a relief and a worry. We can support you as you return home, so you and your family can concentrate on your recovery.

Respite care

When your loved ones can’t be around, whether that’s for a few hours or longer, we make sure you’re supported and well cared for so all of you can enjoy peace of mind.

If you feel you could benefit from some extra support, Abbeyfield Care at Home could be the alternative you’re looking for.

With more than 60 years of experience providing care to people in later life, we understand the importance of getting the right balance between care, support and remaining independent.

Care at Home for Older People

Care that’s tailored to you

We take the time to discuss your unique needs with you, so together we can find a way you can live safely, comfortably and, most importantly, independently in your own home.

Whether that’s simply providing a bit of help around the house or more involved personal care, we give you support, when and where you need it.

Visits start from 30-minutes and we can even arrange for 24-hour or respite support. Where possible, your preferred care workers will make each visit to ensure continuity of care.

People who care

Your care starts with our people. This is why we recruit the best and provide regular training. Our pay, benefits and Career Paths Programme recognises their time, dedication and importance of the job they’re doing.

Before they start work, our team of support staff and carers are DBS-checked and undergo a thorough induction programme that satisfies the Care Quality Commission regulations and Care Certificate requirements.

We ensure such high standards, so you get the best possible care.
