About the property

Paterson Court was built in 1986 and has nine rooms.

This very sheltered accommodation is of a high standard. Most rooms are either ensuite or have a bathroom or shower close by for your personal use. Rooms are unfurnished so that you can provide your own furniture and private possessions.

A communal living/dining room means that the house is very sociable and you can have as much company as you like. We also have an attractive garden where residents can sit out and enjoy the sunshine.

Two nutritious home-cooked meals are provided every day by our house manager, using fresh locally sourced produce where possible, and residents have facilities in their own rooms for making breakfast and refreshments.

The house has access to a community alarm service, so you can always contact someone for help, even when our staff are away from the site.

Meet our staff

At an Abbeyfield supported house, we offer a home from home experience. Our Staff are crucial to creating this homely, friendly and welcoming environment.

All of our staff are fully trained and skilled at catering for the needs of older people, and are empathetic to the requirements residents have. Staff are there to make sure all residents are safe and secure, that meals are nutritious and enjoyable, and that the house is a thoroughly enjoyable place to be.

At Abbeyfield, we believe in making time for older people and our staff embody this by always being available for that cup of tea and a chat - to be there as a companion when needed.

This aspect of life at an Abbeyfield supported house sets us apart from other providers.

Activities

Afternoon teaActivities such as coffee mornings, arts and crafts afternoons, and exercises, especially geared towards older people, are organised on a regular basis. Monthly social activities include lunch outings and sherry parties, organised by our Friends of Abbeyfield volunteer group.

We also arrange occasional day trips and outings to local attractions.
