About the property

McMillan House provides supported housing for 11 residents, with a community alarm system and two nutritious home-cooked meals served every day.

We accept residents from 65 years of age. We provide lunch and dinner seven days a week, plus breakfast-making facilities in the residents' rooms.

We have regular visits from a hairdresser, mobile chiropody unit and mobile library. A Church service is held monthly in McMillan House.

We have a great activities coordinator who organises exercise classes, quizzes and arts and crafts sessions, and we even enjoy a visiting pet zoo.

Meet our staff

We are lucky to have very caring and experienced staff, and this is recognised by the Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS) and is reflected in our excellent grading.

We provide high standards of accommodation, companionship and support services designed to promote independence. Our elderly residents at McMillan House are offered the support they need, while Templeton is a registered Care Home and Extra Care House provides nursing care as required.

The hairdresser visits Rutherglen supported houses fortnightly, the mobile chiropody unit visits every six weeks, and the mobile library also comes every few weeks.  A Church service is held monthly in McMillan House.
