Meet our staff

Our staff are an enthusiastic and dedicated team with many years’ experience working to the Abbeyfield ethos and values.

Our training programme is comprehensive and we believe in supporting and developing our team to their full potential which is evident in the smooth running and warm, caring atmosphere experienced within our houses.

Some of our volunteers have given many years of devoted service, others due to family and or business commitments offer a limited but nevertheless valuable tenure and more recently younger volunteers from schools, colleges, universities and youth clubs have provided an essential intergenerational link.  Volunteers are always needed and are most welcome in the Belfast Society.

We are extremely proud of our staff and volunteers at the Abbeyfield Belfast Society.  Our dedicated team ensure that residents needs are met and the highest of standards and quality are achieved at all times.

Activities

We believe in enjoying later life and an Abbeyfield house will always offer residents the opportunity to get involved in activities and entertainment - which are a big part of life in our houses!

We offer an extensive activity programme within our supported houses, with our teams dedicated to coordinating events. We understand the importance of our residents’ emotional and physical well-being, and keeping active and enjoying later life is crucial to this.

Keeping active is important for older people and we offer numerous opportunities for residents to stay active, but it’s always the residents choice to get involved, with their independence and choice always being respected.
