Welcome to Loveday House. We provide supported housing for older people who want to live in a social community but retain their independence.

Our home comprises of 10 en-suite rooms and one two-bedroom flat suitable for a couple. We also have a guest room for any visiting friends or family who might want to extend their visit and stay overnight.

Our rooms come unfurnished allowing residents to bring their favourite possessions from home and give your room a personal touch. Additionally, each room is freshly painted for each new resident that moves in.

Completing our home is a communal lounge, dining room, kitchen and large garden. Residents are welcome to use all of these spaces at their leisure; to take part in activities, for some rest and relaxation or to host family members.

Located near to the town of Wigton, Loveday House is close to shops, cafes, banks, pharmacy and local market.

Life at the house

Residents at Loveday House love nothing better than attending our activities and we have lots for them to get involved with.

- Monthly open coffee morning every third Monday in the month 10am.
- Monthly communion held at the house.
- Open lunch club every first Thursday in the month supporting local people in the community. We offer a two course meal followed with tea or coffee. This is a favourite event for the house.
- Regular outings around local areas, which usually involves a coffee and cake stop.
- Local singers.
- The night before buffet (Christmas Eve) with plenty of mulled wine.
- Christmas day! We start off with bacon butties, followed by a traditional Christmas lunch served at 12.30pm and finally winding down with sherry in time for the Queens speech.

Loveday House is also lucky to have a chiropodist and hairdresser that attend when needed.

What's on the menu
