Overview

At Littlemore House there are ten individual residents’ rooms, each with ensuite facilities. Each resident furnishes his or her own room.  We also have a guest room, resident housekeeper’s flat and assistant housekeeper’s room. The dining room and TV lounge are communal areas, and we also have a laundry.  Residents' guests may stay in the furnished guest room at a moderate charge.

Residents are welcome to share in the running of the house and garden and are encouraged to take an interest in local activities.  Visits, outings and social events are often arranged by volunteer Committee members and friends.  Residents may choose to participate in these activities if they wish.

Littlemore House is managed by Abbeyfield Widnes

Life at the house

Arts and craftsWe organise a number of social activities and events, especially suitable for older people, so there is always something to keep you occupied or to look forward to.

Although we encourage residents to join in there is never any pressure to do so, so if you'd rather enjoy your own company in our peaceful surroundings, that's absolutely fine.

Regular activities include:

• coffee mornings
• afternoon tea
• arts and crafts
• gentle excercise classes

Ad hoc events include:

• pub lunches
• day trips to local attractions
• birthday parties
• Christmas party

Dining areaThe domestic arrangements of the house are managed by our kind and caring house manager, who plans menus, prepares meals, supervises cleaning and helps to meet the needs of the residents.

Midday and evening meals are served in the communal dining room so this is a real social occasion. Residents usually prepare their own breakfast in their rooms at whatever time suits them, although supplies are provided by the house.
