Overview

Fir Lodge is comfortably furnished in a beautifully maintained Victorian house which opened in 1989. Our emphasis is on providing a homely environment and helping residents maintain their independence. Residents have their own private en-suite rooms and rents are fully inclusive of all charges.

Fir Lodge was purchased by the society in 1989 and completely renovated in 1999. It has accommodation for 12 residents in single en-suite rooms, as well as a guest room and respite facility. There are regular social activities include trips, games and talks, all organised by committee, and meals are provided (full lunch and prepared tea provided every day, and food for breakfast).

ScrabbleWe organise regular social activities for our residents, we make these as varied as possible so there is always something for everyone. Regular activities include trips, games and talks. All activities are organised by committee.

Dining areaOne of the things we prides itself on the quality of its catering using local Yorkshire suppliers for fresh meat, fish, fruit and vegetables.

We have an emphasis on home-cooking and providing dietary alternatives to cater for specific medical conditions.
