Overview

Davidson Villa is situated in the prestigious west end of Nairn.  It is a large modernised Victorian house, renovated in 1994, with comfortable accommodation for nine residents.

The house is surrounded by spectacular walled gardens and beach walks looking over the Moray Firth. There is a sun porch at the front of the house with amenable private parking.

Davidson Villa won the National Housing for Older People Awards 2013 (under 30 units)

This very sheltered accommodation is of a high standard. Most rooms are either en-suite or have a bathroom or shower close by for your personal use. Rooms are unfurnished so that you can provide your own furniture and private possessions.

A communal living/dining room means that the house is very sociable and you can have as much company as you like. We also have an attractive garden where residents can sit out and enjoy the sunshine.

The house has access to a community alarm service, so you can always contact someone for help, even when our staff are away from the site.

Life at the house

Arts and craftsOur supported house provides companionship when you want it and a carefully designed support service when you need it. Staff assess your individual needs to determine what level of support you need, while allowing you to retain as great a level of independence as possible.

We have a wonderful team of volunteers who help organise activities, provide transport for health appointments and offer a friendly ear if you just feel like having a chat.

Activities such as coffee mornings, arts and crafts afternoons, and exercises, especially geared towards older people, are organised on a regular basis.

We also arrange day trips and outings to local attractions.

Dining areaWe provide highly nutritious lunches and delicious home-cooked evening meals, all prepared with fresh, locally sourced food where possible.

Meals are served in the communal living/dinging room so they are a bit of a social occasion. However, residents have breakfast making facilities in their own rooms so that they can start the day whenever they want.
