We recognise the importance of maintaining relationships with family and friends and we support residents in pursuing hobbies and interests by offering a variety of activities from in house entertainment to regular outings.

Welcome to Campbell Snowdon House residential care home is a beautiful sandstone house. It provides accommodation for the over 65s in fully furnished, en-suite rooms, with two lounges for residents to read, relax and socialise.

The home is owned and run by a small dedicated charitable trust and we have been providing personalised and dignified care to our residents since 1984. Our experienced team of senior support staff and support workers provide 24 hour in house care and our catering, housekeeping and maintenance staff create the homely environment and high standards for which Campbell Snowdon is renowned.

Life at the house

MusicIn consultation with our residents themselves, a variety of entertainments and activities are available. With the involvement of our Friends of Campbell Snowdon volunteers as well as professional entertainers, we are able to meet most of the activity needs and requests of our residents.

In house we organise arts and crafts groups, chairobics, film nights, music groups, poetry group, spa days and quizzes. A church service is held fortnightly in the house. For days out, we organise shopping and garden centre outings and theatre and cinema visits amongst other trips to places of interest. During the warmer months we have organised sailing on the Waverley, weekends away, helping in the garden and attending local events and galas.

Afternoon teaAll main meals are provided, together with tea and coffee at at regular intervals during the day. Wherever possible we source our fresh food locally and a highlight of the week is a roast lunch served every Sunday. Meals are served in a very pleasant restaurant style dining room, but if preferred our residents can choose to have their meals in their rooms.

We take residents' food preferences and dietary requirements very seriously and consult reguarly about new suggestions for menus. Our cook, who has been with us for over 15 years, knows the importance of preparing good nourishing food and loves trying out new recipes and ideas.
