About the property

Designed in 1914 as a rest home for workers in Armstrong's Tyneside factories, Armstrong was completed in 1925 and consists of 12 flats. The house is just a stones throw away from Bamburgh Castle.

Most rooms are en-suite and all rooms are unfurnished, so that you can bring your own furniture, making it a home from home.

The on site house manager ensures that the house is warm, comfortable and safe and that the daily meals provided are varied, nutritious and enjoyable.

This house is managed by Abbeyfield Bamburgh.

Meet our staff

At Bamburgh we are lucky to have great staff and volunteers who understand the needs of our residents and are expert in providing the supported living services.

At the home we currently have six members of staff. The House Manager is responsible for the house and is supported by the staff as the house is manned 24/7.

The executive committee are our only volunteers at the moment and they are responsible for the physical, spiritual and financial well-being of the house. Their dedication to making the house feel like a home for the residents really makes the difference.

The staff at Bamburgh do go that bit extra to provide a great service, they source food locally sourced and currently hold a five star award for food hygiene.

Activities

ActivitiesWe like to make sure that you keep busy and active if you want to, so we arrange regular outing and visits and activities a the home.
