We have a dedicated team of staff who all have a real empathy for older people. Our house keepers ensure that the house is warm, comfortable and safe and that the daily meals provided are varied, nutritious and enjoyable. A two course home-cooked lunch is served each day in the communal dining room, making meal times a social occasion; we supply basic breakfast ingredients so that residents can have breakfast in their own rooms – a gentle start to the day.

Abbeyfield house has well-maintained gardens with established trees where the residents are able to relax and enjoy the views and natural wildlife.

We have a visiting mobile hairdresser and a laundry room; staff can help with laundry at a small charge.

Residents have additional support from a care line provider. Each resident is provided with a pendant which is linked to a support system in their rooms. Once pressed help is summoned, meaning you feel safe and secure in your new home.

We are an attractive, modern, purpose built sheltered accommodation situated within walking distance of nearby parks, cafes, shops, pubs and bus routes to the town centres. The East Lancashire road is nearby, as is the main train station. We have private off road parking for residents and visitors.
