Overview

We are a community of eight people located in a secluded setting with a fine garden and a bus stop outside our gate giving access to the town of Crieff and beyond.

The house consists of eight en-suite flatlets and one respite room, and residents can furnish and decorate their room as they choose.

We have communal dining and sitting areas, with and without television, together with a well maintained attractive garden.

Maintenance of the garden and communal areas is taken care of, and residents clean their own rooms, or we can arrange for this to be undertaken privately or through social services.

This house is managed by Abbeyfield Crieff & Muthill.

Life at the house

We believe in enjoying later life and an Abbeyfield house will always offer residents the opportunity to get involved in activities and entertainment - which are a big part of life in our houses!

We offer an extensive activity programme within our supported houses, with our teams dedicated to coordinating events. We understand the importance of our residents’ emotional and physical well-being, and keeping active and enjoying later life is crucial to this.

Keeping active is important for older people and we offer numerous opportunities for residents to stay active, but it’s always the residents choice to get involved, with their independence and choice always being respected.

We provide two healthy and delicious meals a day, which are cooked and prepared at the house. Our qualified cooks pride themselves on providing excellent food which is all freshly prepared, and where possible, using locally sourced produce.

Each house has an individual approach to catering for their residents, with menus being tailored to dietary needs and special events. But we always offer plenty of choices, including vegetarian options, and great portion sizes!

Meal time at an Abbeyfield is also important as it’s when the whole house gets together - a time to have a chat enjoying great food and great company.
