About the property

This house has a large garden and wonderful views over the River Clyde to the Argyll Hills. Cruise liners, including the QE2, are a regular feature in the summer months and berth a quarter of a mile from the house. It has recently been decorated, with comfortable accommodation for seven residents.

Most rooms are either en-suite or have a bathroom or shower close by for your personal use. Rooms are unfurnished so that you can provide your own furniture and private possessions.

A communal living/dining room means that the house is very sociable and you can have as much company as you like. We also have an attractive garden where residents can sit out and enjoy the sunshine.

Two nutritious home-cooked meals are provided every day by our house manager, using fresh locally sourced produce where possible, and residents have facilities in their own rooms for making breakfast and refreshments.

The house has access to a community alarm service, so you can always contact someone for help, even when our staff are away from the site.

This house is managed by Abbeyfield Scotland.

Meet our staff

Our compassionate staff assess your individual needs to determine what level of support best suits your requirements - giving you the choice and opportunity to tailor the service to your own needs while maximising your independence.

We also have a fantastic team of volunteers who help out by providing companionship and offering transport for health appointments.

Activities

We believe in enjoying later life and an Abbeyfield house will always offer residents the opportunities to get involved in activities and entertainment - which are a big part of life in our houses!

We offer an extensive activity programme within our Supported Houses, with our teams dedicated to coordinating events. We understand the importance of our residents’ emotional and physical well-being, and keeping active and enjoying later life is crucial to this.

Keeping active is important for older people and we offer numerous opportunities for residents to stay active, but it’s always the residents choice to get involved, with their independence and choice always being respected.
