Life at the house

Life at Abbeyfield is never dull. Whether it's pursuing your hobbies or taking up new ones there's always something to do. At Abbeyfield House we have a great team of volunteers who join us every Friday for activities such as arts and crafts, coffee morning, armchair exercises or a themed quiz.

Once a month we have a family trip out followed by tea and cake at a cafe along the way. We also bring in local entertainment, usually singers, to mix things up a little.

Of course if you want to relax you can wile away the day or spend time in our beautiful gardens, but when you feel like participating then you’ll find plenty to do.

Local area

Abbeyfield House is located close to the town centre of Ulverston and local amenities. Ulverston is a very sociable town with lots of different groups to get involved with.

- Lightburn Park
- Laurel and Hardy Museum
- One of the many coffee shops or tea rooms
- South Lakes Safari Zoo
