Life at the house

ActivitiesThe house is within walking distance of the Lytham sea front and near to the many facilities which this popular Fylde resort has to offer.

Occasional trips are arranged for meals out and to local events and places of interest.

Each Monday there is Poetry reading, with a social afternoon on Tuesdays including quizzes, talks and armchair aerobics. Trips out to the local theatre or garden centre are also organised.

We provide two healthy and delicious meals a day, which are cooked and prepared at the house. Our qualified cooks pride themselves on providing excellent food which is all freshly prepared, and where possible, using locally sourced produce.

Each house has an individual approach to catering for their residents, with menus being tailored to dietary needs and special events. But we always offer plenty of choices, including vegetarian options, and great portion sizes!

Meal time at an Abbeyfield is also important as it’s when the whole house gets together - a time to have a chat enjoying great food and great company.
