About the property

Abbeyfield House offers accommodation for 12 older people in an elegant Georgian property. Each resident has a spacious private room with en-suite toilet and level entry shower facilities, and there is a small kitchen area with a fridge in which residents can prepare their breakfast. Each room has a MECS system fitted that ensures residents can contact assistance when staff are off site.

Residents bring their own treasured possessions, such as favourite items of furniture, ornaments or pictures, for a real home from home ambience.

We have a large sitting / dining room with television and a DVD player for the residents use, so there is always somewhere to sit and enjoy the company of others. The welcoming hall has a lift to the first floor.

Our very own chef delivers fine food – a two / three course lunch and high tea served in the dining room, making mealtimes a social occasion – plus whatever the residents need for breakfast in their own rooms.

We have a private garden where the residents may sit and a summerhouse.

Each room has its own front door which may be kept locked – no one may enter except by invitation – and the front door has a security entrance controlled by residents’ push-button and intercom from their rooms. We also have CCTV to ensure the residents safety.
