Overview

Christleton Road House provides supported living accommodation in eight unfurnished rooms - three are full en-suite and five are semi en-suite, each with a lounge/bedroom and a kitchen complete with fridge.

The house is on two levels and is situated in a prime location for the beautiful city of Chester and there’s a bus stop right outside the house with buses running frequently into the centre of Chester. There are also many amenities near to the house including GP surgery, chemist, hairdressers, pubs and restaurants.

We have a conservatory and a large garden for the enjoyment of the residents and the lounge is supplied with daily papers, magazines and refreshments for residents to enjoy and entertain their guests.

All our residents have their own keys and can come and go as they please, allowing them complete independence. Pleasant communal rooms with televisions are available for the residents' use, so there is always somewhere to sit and have some company.

Our housekeepers are residential and, together with relief housekeepers, will provide overnight cover in case of emergencies, so you can rest assured that you will always be safe and secure.

The house has a comfortable guest room providing overnight accommodation for visiting relatives and friends. Short-term respite care is also possible. Car parking is available for residents and visitors.

This house is managed by Abbeyfield Chester.

Life at the house

ActivitiesThe volunteers and managers work very closely together to plan social events during the year some of which include a trip on a barge over the viaduct in Shropshire, trips to the local garden centres for afternoon tea, and a trip to the theatre around Christmas time for a panto.

Every couple of months there is a quiz with afternoon tea. Most of our activities are organised for both of our Chester Abbeyfield Houses.

KitchenA tasty and nutritious home-cooked midday meal and a light evening meal are served daily in our spacious dining room. Any special dietary needs will be catered for - just let the housekeeper know. All the residents rooms have their own kitchenette where they make their own breakfast, so they can start the day when they wish.
