About the property

Abbeyfield House has 7 rooms which residents can furnish with their favourite furniture and treasured belongings to create a home from home.

There's a friendly, peaceful atmosphere and residents can remain as independent as possible whilst knowing that support is there when they need it.

The house also offers a range of activities from coffee mornings to the more energetic exercise classes, along with two daily meals.

Meet our staff

Staff run each of our homes to provide the privacy and security many older people seek when managing alone in their own home has become a burden.

They are there to offer support and assistance where required, and want to make our residents time with us as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

All staff and volunteers have all the relevant care and social skills required and will take the worries of maintaining a house and garden, paying bills and dealing with loneliness away from residents.

Activities

We believe in enjoying later life and an Abbeyfield house will always offer residents the opportunities to get involved in activities and entertainment - which are a big part of life in our houses!

We offer an extensive activity programme within our Supported Houses, with our teams dedicated to coordinating events. We understand the importance of our residents’ emotional and physical well-being, and keeping active and enjoying later life is crucial to this.

Keeping active is important for older people and we offer numerous opportunities for residents to stay active, but it’s always the residents choice to get involved, with their independence and choice always being respected.
