About the property

The house accommodates 7 flats with most rooms providing en-suite facilities. Rooms are unfurnished allowing you to bring your own furniture and make it feel like home.

Residents are encouraged to make the house their home for life and the house manager is on hand to make sure residents are comfortable, safe and provided with nutritious and enjoyable daily meals.

Meet our staff

Our staff and volunteers are all people who share our values and want to make our residents time with us as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

Staff all have the relevant care and social skills required and run each home to provide the privacy and security many older people seek when managing alone in their own home has become a burden.

They are there to offer support and assistance where required, but residents can come and go as they please, receive visitors and enjoy meals provided by the house staff.

All staff and volunteers will take the worries of maintaining a house and garden, paying bills and dealing with loneliness away from residents.

Activities

We believe in enjoying later life and an Abbeyfield house will always offer residents the opportunities to get involved in activities and entertainment - which are a big part of life in our houses!

We offer an extensive activity programme within our Supported Houses, with our teams dedicated to coordinating events. We understand the importance of our residents’ emotional and physical well-being, and keeping active and enjoying later life is crucial to this.

Keeping active is important for older people and we offer numerous opportunities for residents to stay active, but it’s always the residents choice to get involved, with their independence and choice always being respected.
