Abbeyfield Darlington Society is an autonomous charity affiliated to The Abbeyfield Society. It is our aim to ensure that you feel safe and secure and that this is YOUR home not A home.

The Abbeyfield Darlington Society was set up in 1970 by joint committees of the local Soroptimists and Rotary Clubs.

These clubs continue to offer help in the management of the society. It has benefited over the years from generous legacies from distinguished members of the community - Nora Fenby, Lady Starmer, Muriel Latimer, Thomas Earl and Miss Keelan.
