Located in pleasant, quiet grounds close to the centre of the village of Kings Langley, Friars Mead welcomes older people who need specialist residential care.
To reassure our residents that they're in safe hands, we are registered with The Care Quality Commission for 24 hour elderly care of 26 residents, each with their own bedroom with full en suite facilities.
Our garden was upgraded in 2011/12 to provide a pathway with handrails so that residents, accompanied by one of our care staff if necessary, can feel safe. There is also seating and a fountain, with many flowers and shrubs for you to enjoy.
Where we can we utilise local suppliers, and all food is prepared in our own kitchen, which obtained a Five Star Award (the highest that is awarded) for Hygiene & Cleanliness in 2012.
