The Leonard Pulham nursing home was purpose built in 1982 to provide residential care for 34 older people in friendly surroundings.
We have thirty three rooms, all of which are individually furnished. Residents are encouraged to personalise their new home by bringing some of their favourite items of furniture and treasured belongings, so it's a real home from home. Each room has a nurse call system, washing facilities, a direct telephone line and TV point. All our bathrooms are fitted with the latest equipment.
There are two large, comfortable lounges and a bright airy dining room, as well as a spacious sun lounge, so there is plenty of room to entertain family and friends, who are always welcome. You can have company when you want it, as well as peace and quiet when you want some time to yourself.
Our beautiful gardens include a large patio area with benches and comfortable garden furniture, with ramps enabling easy access for everyone.
The numerous bird baths and bird tables ensure there is a constant array of wildlife for residents to enjoy watching, both outside and from their rooms, and strawberry teas and garden parties are a regular occurrence during the summer.
