Making the decision that you need more care and support is a major one that most of us will have to make at some time. Choosing the right environment is very important as this can affect your future happiness, welfare and security.
We offer a range of accommodation for people over 55 years of age that includes independent living, supported housing and dementia care homes. With over 500 properties across the country we're confident that you’ll find one that will offer you exactly the support and care you either need now or into the future.
For over 60 years we’ve dedicated our time and energies to making every day a happy one that’s also sociable, comfortable, stimulating and safe. We’ve put very high self-imposed standards of quality care at the heart of everything we do.
We want to change the way people think about housing and care for older people. Our housing and care strives to remove barriers so that people can continue to do the things they enjoy. We work in partnership with the people who know you best to plan and deliver your care.
Abbeyfield is a leading and trusted provider of dementia care. We have provided care and support to older people since 1956 and over the years have built and refined our service based on the same caring and compassionate approach of our founder.

Home care - an independent alternative to care homes
Abbeyfield Care at Home service is an alternative to residential care. With over 60 years experience in providing care for older people we can help you maintain your independence in your own home. Our team of qualified and experienced care and support staff can provide you with tailored quality home care, whether you require long-term care or simply support with everyday living – all within the familiar surroundings of your own home.
Abbeyfield Care at Home can support you with your day-to-day living, including help with your morning and evening routines, such as dressing and bathing, as well as administering medication and meal preparation.
Hospital to home care
We believe being cared for in the comfort of your own home, where you feel comfortable and most relaxed, can often be the best way to recuperate following a hospital stay. So making sure you have the right level of support in place before your discharge from hospital is important to aid the transition back to your home.
If needed Abbeyfield Care at Home can provide respite care, whether it’s just for a few hours or for longer. The Care at Home service provides you and our loved ones with the peace of mind needed, knowing you are supported and cared for when they can’t be around.
