House Manager, Prestbury, Cheltenham

Salary: Circa £19,500pa (Depending on experience) 

Hours: 3 days - Week 1 
            5 days - Week 2
            10.00am - 6.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break 

Abbeyfield House in Prestbury, Cheltenham are currently looking to recruit a non-residential House Manager to join the team, to play a vital role in continuing to deliver a high quality service to a group of older residents. 

Reporting to the House Chairman at Abbeyfield House in Prestbury, you will be responsible for the day to day management of the house including:

  • Preparing meals for our 8 older residents
  • Managing materials and stock for the efficient running of the house
  • Ensuring that appropriate staff cover is maintained
  • Monitoring closely the health and welfare of our residents

Applicants must be highly motivated, professional in approach and appearance with excellent leadership and communications skills. We are looking for an individual with a genuine warm and friendly nature, who can multi task, where necessary and remain enthusiastic in their approach. You must be able to pay attention to the details and be capable of working on your own initiative. 

It is essential that you are a competent cook in preparing nutritious meals twice a day but above all, you care as much as we do, and you are passionate about making all the difference for older people.

Current food hygiene and first aid certificates would be desirable. We provide a comprehensive induction programme, as well as on-going training and development.
