We have a team of staff who are trained to support elderly, frail or disabled people in their own home. We will not be taking over your life, but actively supporting you in retaining your many skills and perhaps helping to build on these. We respect your right to live in your chosen lifestyle and make your own decisions, helping you to remain as independent as possible.  We hope this will also increase your confidence, encouraging you to join in the active and varied social life.

Wickham House offers very sheltered housing to older people. We have 18 comfortable private studio rooms, with ensuite toilet and wash basin.

There is a lift and chair lift to the first floor accommodation, and wheelchair access to all areas.

Our beautiful well-maintained mature garden, complete with summer houses and seating, allows you to enjoy the fresh air and  sunshine in comfort.

The scheme manager is on site from Monday to Friday 10.00 am to 2.00 pm, and the assistant scheme manager is on site seven days a week from 7.45 am to 8.45 pm. At all other times response is by a night service.

We have domestic staff to clean your rooms. Home visits are carried out by the GP, district nurse, chiropodist, dentist, opticians and hairdressers.

Wickham House is managed by Abbeyfield Braintree, Bocking and Felsted
