About the property

Westall House is situated in the picturesque village of Horsted Keynes on the border of West and East Sussex.  We benefit from stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Our Care home accommodates 21 residents in single rooms all with en-suites. The main house was modernised and registered in 1996 for 9 residents and in 1998 a purpose-built extension was added to accommodate another 12 residents.

All residents are encouraged to remain active both mentally and physically through a varied programme of events run by our activities organiser.

  • Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture and photos/pictures so that they can make their room their own 

  • An overnight guest stay room is available for family and friends to stay if needed

  • 24 hour care assistance provided

  • Varied and Nutritious home cooked meals provided by our Head Chef Lynn – She will speak to residents when they move in to ensure that all dietary requirements are met, alternative meals are always available as is a cooked breakfast 

  • Wide variety of activities available daily including crosswords, Art group, Coffee mornings, weekly quiz and Evening prayer to name a few

  • The local Hairdresser Sue visits Westall House twice a week

  • Good links with local community 

  • Weekly visits from local Doctor 

We will support you in making your own decisions about how you want to live your life. We recognise the importance of maintaining relationships with family and friends and we support residents in pursuing hobbies and interests by offering a variety of activities from in house entertainment to regular outings.

Sheltered Housing 

Westall House’s Sheltered Housing complex accommodates 14 self-contained bungalows for single occupancy and 2 double bungalows and is designed for residents who can lead more active and independent lifestyles. Click here to find out more.

Jemma Thompson

- Operations Manager

Jemma has worked at Westall House since 2001 and has at some point carried out all roles within the home, before working her way up to become the Registered Manager in 2015! Jemma has completed her Level 2 and 3 NVQ’s in Health and Social care, including her Assessors award (winning assessor of the year two years running). Jemma has also achieved her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care.
